Overflying Colombia  territory depends on how long your stay will be or if only a overflight (without landing) is required. 

Permit Application

A special form must be submitted to Aerocivil (Colombian civil aviation authority) 72 hours before arrival or use the online system for overflight permits which usually leads short response times by the CAA. 

Documents such as registration, air worthiness certificate, insurance among others must be attached to the form and send it as well.

Once issued, a permit number is sent to the operator; and it is recommended to place it in the flight plan document (field 18).

The landing permits are usually allowed for short stays (less than 48 hours). If a longer stay (up to 5 days)  is required and additional form must be sent.  Be in mind that if your short stay become a longer one, advise as soon as possible to your handler and/or FBO in order to submit a new request and/or update.
